Pennant

Message from the Chairperson

The Board of the Montmorency Bowls Club is very proud to announce the appointment of Leigh Mc.ILVENNY as Playing Coach for pennant season 2020-21

Leigh, 31, has most recently played for Premier League Club Altona where he skipped in the top side and has previously played for Ocean Grove in the Geelong & District Bowls Association. He has also represented Victoria in interstate competitions, competed in the Australian & Victorian championships and has been a member of the Port Melbourne Navigators which plays in the televised Ultimate Bowls Championships.

Leigh is certainly known to many Monty bowlers having presided over several pennant practice sessions during the 2019-20 pennant season and was warmly received by club members who attended those sessions.

Leigh will be conducting a minimum of two pennant practice sessions per week, most likely Monday afternoon and Thursday and any pennant bowler may attend either or both sessions.

We at Monty warmly welcome Leigh to our club and trust that he thoroughly enjoys his time with us. Equally I ask that all members support Leigh’s coaching program and we look forward to attracting both new and experienced bowlers to join us on the journey.
